Government Support – NCDMB

Over the past seven years, the Practical Nigerian Content Forum organised in partnership with the Nigerian Content and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), has been developed alongside the Nigeria Oil & Gas Content Development Act (NOGICDA).

NCDMB and CWC Enter Into an MOU

The NCDMB reinforces its relationship with the CWC Group and commitment to the Practical Nigerian Content Forum held annually in the Niger Delta with the signing of an MOU. Under the terms of the MOU, the two organisations will collaborate to deliver greater value through the Forum by further engaging with the industry to ensure the pertinent issues surrounding Nigerian Content implementation discussed at the conference unlocks opportunities and drives progress in the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

Already, NAPIMS, NCDMB and the IOC’s are developing a single contracting procedure to shorten contracting cycles, increase efficiencies in processes and reduce associated cost.

The NCDMB and the Bank of Industry have recently launched the $100 million Nigerian Content Intervention Fund in a bid to alleviate the financial and liquidity challenges of indigenous players operating in the industry. The NCDMB plan to increase the number of contracts awarded to Nigerian service companies from 75% to 85% by 2017. These plans will be discussed at PNC Forum taking place from 6-9 November 2017 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria.

Don’t miss this opportunity to help shape the Nigerian Content agenda for the next twelve months.
